There are more reports saying this is becoming an epidemic in our country with millions of people searching for answers and many of those turning to drugs to help them sleep. Dubbed as the “Ultra Bath” by Dr Hyman, the concoction of epsom salts, baking soda and lavender is a recipe that Hyman claims will not only give your body a detox but also help induce sleep. Epsom salts are pure magnesium, which the body desires to keep nutritious tissues. Magnesium draws off harmful toxins and improves circulation. It has a authentic body cleansing effect. Taking Calcium & Magnesium in a tablet and soaking in an ultra bath can definitely aid your body unwind and get rid of harmful toxins in this way.
Here is the ultra bath recipe: Start to fill your Japanese Soaking Tub with hot water letting it fill. Add 10 drops of lavender oil to two cups of Epsom Salts. I place mind in a gallon ziplock bag and shake until the two are very well combined. Add the salt and oil combo with a half cup of baking soda and pour into the running water. (Be sure to place the lavender oil into the Epsom salts prior to pouring in the tub as the oil will stay on the water’s surface). Soak for a good twenty minutes. Adding candle light or turning the lights to dim will set your body into a more “quie”t mode preparing it for sleep.
