Ritz Carlton Opens worlds Highest Hotel in Hong Kong
Occupying floors 102 to 118 of the International Commerce Centre in Kowloon, the hotel will offer amazing views. With architecture by KPF, New York City, and interiors by Singapore’s LTW, local developer Sun Hung Kai Properties will offer 312 guestrooms.
Its lobby will be on the 103rd floor with restaurants below on 102, but the rooftop bar, terrace, swimming pool and gym will be on the 118th floor—some 490 m (1,608 ft.) above sea level. The hotel will be approximately the same height as Victoria Peak, which it looks over.
There is a 12-room ESPA spa on the 116th floor with floor-to-ceiling windows in the treatment rooms. The hotel features the highest swimming pool in the world on the 118th floor, and the pool’s ceiling is made entirely of LCD screens that can show video, images or a feed from a camera on the roof of the hotel that points straight up at the sky.
