June 1 – June 7 is National Sun Safety Month, so when your hanging around the pool remember to follow the following tips from the Sun Safety Alliances (SSA).
- The American Academy of Dermatology and the SSA recommend using a sun screen with an SPF of 15 or higher.
- For children, the SSA recommends sunscreen product with an SPF of 30.
- Apply sunscreen before each and every outside activity.
- Reapply sunscreen every 2 hours or after swimming, perspiring, and toweling off.
Make sure you follow these tips all year round to keep your skin healthy and beautiful.
