You have most likely heard the phrase “Do what you love”. Well we like to say “Build what you love”. And that was the case for the New York City executive who is an amateur violinist and swimming pool enthusiast. Finishing touches are going into place in the Westchester county custom lap pool built in the shape of a violin. Former finance executive Jay Dweck who owns some very rare violins, a Guarneri and a Stradivarius, is such a fan of the rare instruments that he wanted to build a swimming pool in the shape of them. The whopping million dollar pool is a 1,300-square foot pool and has about a half a million glass tiles to replicate the details of the Stradivarius violin. On completion the violin strings will light up with fiber optic lights that are timed to music. Watch out Vegas, there is a new show in town! Mr Dweck is not the first to build a unique swimming pool after his hobby. Check out these other interesting shaped pools.
The flamboyant Liberace was not only flashy in the way he dressed but in his home and piano shaped swimming pool as well.
This privately owned swimming pool in the shape of a barefoot looks to have separate round pools.
Now isn’t that cute?
Instruments seem to be the popular choice for pool shapes. This Florida home put the hot tub in the head of the guitar.
