It’s that time of year again when we begin to predict the design trends for the up-coming year. We have researching the latest trends in kitchen design and compiled a list of the top kitchen trends to watch for in 2011.
Farmhouse sinks in stainless steel, copper and other materials complement most styles, but we think you’ll see farmhouse sinks most often in transitional, old world and traditional kitchen designs.
Stainless steel appliances, cabinetry and hardware are hot kitchen trends in contemporary style kitchens.
An extra prep sink on the kitchen island or near the stove top is another emerging trend to look for this year. The prep sink helps create a more functional kitchen and makes it easier for multiple people to work in the kitchen at once.
In 2011 look for more kitchens with modern components as well as the more eco-friendly elements.
